Amazon Holiday Pop-up

Amazon Home & Fashion Holiday Pop up

Role: Experiential Design | Agency: Refinery29 | Client: Amazon Home & Amazon Fashion

We brought together Amazon Home and Amazon Fashion with Refinery29’s coveted style curation to create the must-shop holiday experience of 2019 in Soho, New York City. The pop-up bursted through the holiday hustle and elevated the public’s perception of Amazon Home and Amazon Fashion. Exclusive daily programming brought Amazon products to life in interactive and fun sessions.

All items throughout the pop-up were hand-selected by myself, Refinery29 fashion and lifestyle editors as well as home and fashion influencers Jamie Chung, Gaby Dalkin, Sai de Silva, and Amber Lewis. All items in the shop were purchasable on-site via Amazon Smile codes and available online in the Refinery29, Amazon Fashion and Amazon Home Holiday Gift Guide on Amazon.com.

The two-week pop-up also included the newest Amazon virtual shopping experiences for guests to delight in. Style by Alexa, which involves the AI offering fashion pointers, was featured using interactive mirror that engaged guests in a live-scale experience with Amazon Fashion. Separately, a custom, life-size interface was designed and built to highlight Amazon Home’s Discover Your Style function. Additionally, exciting interactive daily programming took place (featuring The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Adidias, The Drop, Levi’s and more!).

The Amazon Holiday pop-up event was well-received, with attendees commenting on how much fun they had and sharing content from the video booth. Strategic use of influencers and celebrities such as Katie Holmes and Karlie Kloss drove mentions for this campaign, as celebrity news outlets and blogs made note of their appearances at the pop-up.

An information and RSVP website (found here) was shared with the public before and during the event.

The pop-up garnered 20.2 Million Impressions and our daily programming had more than 4,200 RSVPs.
