Role: Experiential & Graphic Design | Agency: Hunters Point | Client: Quinn & Highland Park Whisky

 

Nine members of the media were invited for a 3 day excursion at luxury resort Alila Ventana in Big Sur, California. With the wild beauty of Big Sur serving as the backdrop, and inspired by the flavors and story of Highland Park, we created an immersive stay featuring 5-star culinary experiences, premium partners Barbour, Art of Tea and Tartine Bakery, and bespoke programming including nature walks, beekeeping, live folk music, tea blending and specialty mixology moments.

Extensive research into Highland Park's ethos and history culminated in the creation of an authentic California/Scottish sensory experience. All elements of the event could be traced back to Highland Park, such as imported goods from Orkney and locally foraged ingredients from Big Sur that reflect the Whisky’s flavor profile. The getaway generated a social reach of over 170k+ impressions and committed press coverage in national and regional publications for an earned media value of $340K+. Hunters Point formed partnerships between Highland Park and luxury brands, like Barbour, which resulted in an exchange of over $8K in product and media placements. Clients, partners, and attendees were unanimously blown away by the stay, commenting it was a resounding success and a "beautifully curated experience.”

As well as reviewing the location in a site visit and approving as our final venue, I designed or curated all Florals, Table Settings, Graphics, Interior Layouts & Furniture.
